There’s a certain pang of excitement you get when you fall in love with a product from a label you know little about. Well, that’s exactly how we felt when we first came across the fabulous jewellery of Karma Salman. Then we found out that she trained for years under both Selim Mouzannar and Nada Zeineh, and eventually caught her big break thanks to Rabih Kayrouz. Considering these are some of the most tasteful exports Lebanon currently has to offer, it’s little wonder then that this London-born, Beirut-raised designer knows a thing or two about refinement. She herself credits using the principles of geology, physics, maths and chemistry – and not just aesthetics – when crafting her wares. All we know is it’s gorgeous.
