In case you weren’t aware, Delta Airlines (America’s oldest airline – and its best according to the Wall Street Journal’s annual ranking) has enjoyed a long-running partnership with Porsche. Over the years it has sporadically used Cayennes and Panameras for shuttling passengers in a handful of US airports and, for a very limited time last summer, it even employed a 918 supercar to shuttle elite customers around Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport. This year they’ve gone and added an exhilarating 2024 GT3 RS to their fleet at LAX. It’s an unorthodox choice for a shuttle considering it’s a track-focussed beast with just a single passenger bucket seat, but we certainly would not complain about ripping around Los Angeles’ international airport. Just imagine your chauffeur gunning that 4.0-litre flat-six (boasting 525 bhp and 465 Nm of torque) all the way to a redline of 9,000 rpm. You’d be hitting 100 km/h from standstill in just 3.2 seconds and won’t be missing your next flight, that’s for sure.
