Designed with off-grid living in mind, this is the luxury Airstream we’ve always dreamt of.
To be totally honest, camper vans and trailers rarely pop up on our radar. There’s just too much compromise involved. But when we discovered the Living Vehicle, from Santa Barbara, California, we had an aha moment. Here was an RV designed like a modern, albeit tiny, home that could be taken anywhere and endure extended periods off grid without the need for even a generator, running as it does off an automotive-grade lithium battery powered by solar panels on the roof.
The net-zero 28-foot (8.5-metre) luxury trailer is made from solid aluminum, features a fold-down deck and comes with a whole host of modcons like a residential-style kitchen, a spacious spa-style bathroom, and a master bedroom with a memory foam mattress, a skylight for stargazing and a 70-inch 4K HD projector with Sonos surround sound.
Deliveries for the 200,000 USD LV begin in February 2020.
