Our February/March 2019 – Rebels issue – We don’t need a cause, we just think that rebels shape our world. That’s why we decided to celebrate them with an issue that starts out with the uninhibited award-winning novelist Hanan Al-Shaykh, and then shows you why the furniture designers at Boca Do Lobo think creepy crawly brass insects make for a great looking cocktail table. We’ll introduce you to Jacquie Aiche, an Egyptian-American jeweller whose marijuana leaf-shaped fine jewellery makes regular appearances on Hollywood red carpets, and Tamara Mellon, the bold shoe designer who co-founded and then left Jimmy Choo to now make, among other eye-popping footwear, full-blown legging boots. We’ll then take you on a very cool (frosty, in fact) break to Iceland. We’ll ask if you’d ever actually take a 350,000 USD car off road, before going and doing it in Rolls Royce’s new no-holds-barred Cullinan SUV. And then finally we’ll reveal how Damen’s utilitarian shadow boats, designed to remove the clutter from mother vessels, are in fact extraordinary global explorers in their own right.
